ABSTRACT | We are excited to announce an upcoming webinar on March 26th, that will provide valuable insights into enhancing security within your institutions. As part of our commitment to safeguarding our digital environments, we have partnered with CyberAlliance to offer a groundbreaking collaboration focused on information security policies. Collaboration for Enhanced Security Under this partnership, CyberAlliance will provide HEITSA and its member institutions with access to a comprehensive suite of 32 Information Security Policies. These policies cover critical areas, enabling robust protection against cyber threats. Tailored Solutions for Member Universities Recognizing the unique needs of each university within the South African system, CyberAlliance will engage with member universities to: 1. Conduct Baseline Security Assessments: These assessments will help define specific information security policy requirements for each institution. 2. Policy Development Based on Assessment: Leveraging stakeholder feedback and assessment results, CyberAlliance will tailor information security policies to address the distinct challenges faced by each university. 3. Cyber Trust Score: As part of the collaboration, CyberAlliance introduces the Cyber Trust Score, a cutting-edge tool for assessing cyber risk. This score will empower member universities to gauge their security posture accurately and make informed decisions. Affordable Security Services for All Beyond policy development, CyberAlliance extends its expertise to the broader community. They offer affordable security services and technologies to public and private sector organizations. From large corporations to small businesses, CyberAlliance stands ready to fortify digital defenses. Vulnerability Scans for Proactive Defense In addition to policy development, CyberAlliance will conduct regular vulnerability scans for member universities. These scans will identify vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks, allowing institutions to proactively address potential security risks. Annual Benefits for Member Universities Once a member university subscribes to the services, they will receive the following annually: 1. 1. Baseline Security Assessment: A thorough evaluation of their existing security posture. 2. 2. Policy Review: An opportunity to fine-tune existing policies. 3. 3. Policy Development, Amendment, Sunset: Customized policy development or necessary amendments. We look forward to having you all join us to explore how we can help your organization create the policies needed to create a foundation for the security your university needs. |
